All-American News. Library of Congress. All-American News was a newsreel made in the 1940s and 1950s, they were originally intended to encourage black Americans to participate in, and support the war effort, and to reflect an African-American perspective on world and national events.

‘Momotaro,’ a Japanese World War II-era propaganda animation film, finally gets a DVD release. Los Angeles Times. An article about the first Japanese animated feature, the 1945 propaganda film “Momotaro: Sacred Sailors.”

Universal Newsreels. Internet Archive. Newsreels were shown before every feature film and in dedicated newsreel theaters located in large cities. Universal Newsreel, produced from 1929 to 1967, was released twice a week. Each issue contained six or seven short stories, usually one to two minutes in length. This collection contains over 600 newsreels.

World War II Films. U.S. National Archives. Collection of 75 videos that were geared toward the American public. Each video provides catalog records that show the origin and detailed information about the video.
